Working with the children. Learning ABA. Getting to observe other Therapists. Collateral hours earned (although several needed to complete payroll, mileage and schedule changes). Mileage reimbursement (except not at 2017 national level of .53.5, at state level .45 last updated in 2011). Flexibility of hours.
Cons
Last minute cancellations. Poor communication from top to bottom. Too little pay for a high physical, emotional and intellectual demand. Push to become BCBA. Confusing and inaccurate training vs. real world situations. Lack of support for lesser employees. Office cliques.
