Pros
Tons of upward growth if you love ABA and will go to school for it, though much less possibility if you only have a Bachelors and do not want to pursue a higher degree in ABA. Supervision seems adequate, and the BCBAs I have worked with are super intelligent and often very helpful. There is a lot of flexibility. The experience is great, and I personally love it.
Cons
We get paid for collateral time (essentially work done at home), which for BTs ends up being much more than what you're paid for. It's a lot outside work. Also, we are out of the house about 11 hours per day but only are paid for 6-8. No sick time, vacations, etc., and when there is roughly a 10% chance that you're schedule will be full in any given week with no cancellations, it is difficult to save money.
