Pros

They have paid training for your certifications

Cons

Long hours with poor pay, no breaks including no lunch break (they expect you to take lunch when you’re driving between your clients houses), abhorrent “therapy” methods that are abusive and traumatizing for children, and not accommodating to people with disabilities or health problems. Definitely do not recommend.

We take your feedback very seriously. The comments described in this review do not represent our services and are not aligned with our standard practice, policies, and procedures. Beacon delivers a safe, inclusive, and welcoming experience for children, families, and employees. It is our mission to provide individuals with quality behavioral healthcare that is responsive to the individual needs of families of children with Autism. Our treatment programs are developmentally appropriate and supported by empirically validated peer-reviewed research. Additionally, we have resources in place for employees to share feedback. It is the duty of our employees to report any concerns that could impact the safety and well-being of themselves and/or others. Our employees are trained regarding the protocols and systems in place for reporting any concerns and feedback through the appropriate supervisory channels or the anonymous employee hotline. Beacon invites you to contact our Executive Vice President of Operations via e-mail (pguilhardi@beaconservices.org) so that your concerns can be fully addressed. If you prefer, Beacon has an anonymous hotline in which existing and former employees are invited to share suggestions, success stories, incidents, concerns, misconduct, and compliments (508-473-4315).

Pros

Beacon took me in with no experience and taught me everything I know. I went through training from ABT to BT, CPR training through the company and even began the masters program to become a behavior analyst.

Cons

Employees don’t seem to last very long long

Pros

Age range is great. Little kiddos .

Cons

Cancelations: lets say you drove 30 minutes ,then a text appears seeing, canceled. The company wont pay you for the drive or lost session AND your responsible to set uo a makeup session. During holiday season, alot of cancelations happen, Therfore lost hours and pay. Dont believe it when they aay" we'll put you in other cases" . They'll try but it most likely wont be available. TRAINING: If your experienced, trust me your better off in another place. The training they advertised is 2 weeks of seeding/shadowing . But nope ,thats an estimate. Some people have shadowing times for months. At a training rate. Meaning you have to stay like a shadow at a session, go to random houses and sit there watching and occasionally practice for 2 hours. This can be exciting at first, but when it goes on for weeks and weeks , your pay will be low and your previous skills are very undervalued. Dont get excited about the pay : The pay rate lured me in, but considering the amount of time they needed to "find clients" for me , and teh amount of cancelations or no place for you to go, the rate is nothing .
