Pros

Large, well established company. This company is not going to be laying anyone off. They are aggressively expanding in an attempt to dominate the ABA services for autism market.

Cons

From a BCBA's perspective, management is overwhelmed. They think they are skillful at organization behavior management, but they're actually just bullies. Strident, obnoxious, power crazed describes management best. They are actually unethical with their direct service staff, denying signing off on supervised fieldwork supervision if per diem staff don't accept assignments. Worst employment experience ever!

Pros

Beacon took me in with no experience and taught me everything I know. I went through training from ABT to BT, CPR training through the company and even began the masters program to become a behavior analyst.

Cons

Employees don’t seem to last very long long

Pros

Age range is great. Little kiddos .

Cons

Cancelations: lets say you drove 30 minutes ,then a text appears seeing, canceled. The company wont pay you for the drive or lost session AND your responsible to set uo a makeup session. During holiday season, alot of cancelations happen, Therfore lost hours and pay. Dont believe it when they aay" we'll put you in other cases" . They'll try but it most likely wont be available. TRAINING: If your experienced, trust me your better off in another place. The training they advertised is 2 weeks of seeding/shadowing . But nope ,thats an estimate. Some people have shadowing times for months. At a training rate. Meaning you have to stay like a shadow at a session, go to random houses and sit there watching and occasionally practice for 2 hours. This can be exciting at first, but when it goes on for weeks and weeks , your pay will be low and your previous skills are very undervalued. Dont get excited about the pay : The pay rate lured me in, but considering the amount of time they needed to "find clients" for me , and teh amount of cancelations or no place for you to go, the rate is nothing .
