Pros

I have worked at various firms over the years but no place compares to Beacon Pointe. First off, our CULTURE (even during a pandemic) is one of a kind. We spend the majority of our lives at work, so why not work somewhere that feels like home? Each team member feels like family, everyone supports one another and cares tremendously about the wellbeing and success of the next person. We enjoy day-to-day interaction at the office (or over zoom/teams) as well as gathering for office events and happy hours. The GROWTH PATH we offer new hires is also something to make note of. We provide our new team members with one-on-one mentoring, job security, and uncapped upward mobility. We not only want to see our team members grow within their respective role, but we also strive to help one another grow on a personal level. A common question during the interview process is what the sales / business development quotas are for advisors. This is something that makes our firm stand out. Every individual has their own UNIQUE ABILITY, so why make all advisors focus on the same thing? Some advisors have a unique ability to network, start new relationships, and introduce new business to the firm. Other advisors have a unique ability to maintain long-lasting relationships and provide ongoing comprehensive planning & portfolio management services. As a wealth advisor, you are given the opportunity to choose which path makes the most sense for you. Overall, I give Beacon Pointe five stars and am proud to call it my forever home!

Cons

Firm continues to grow at a phenomenal level. Although this is terrific, it can make maintaining the right work/life balance difficult.

Pros

Remote work provides a lot of flexibility. Base compensation was competitive, and I got to work alongside some talented people.

Cons

The culture could be difficult to navigate — there was more gossip and internal politics than I'd have liked, which made cross-team collaboration harder at times. I would have appreciated more consistent support from leadership, especially when challenges came up or situations required my manager to have my back. Work hours tended to run long, and the expectations to do the work of 3 people could be draining over time.
