Is this your company?

Pros

Free lunch now and then and cupcakes once a month for celebrating birthdays. Nice views of the sunset in the afternoons. Free beer now and then too.

Cons

I wouldn't say they are disorganized, it is more that they change direction all the time. It seems to have worked in terms of making money and expanding the business but it might drive you crazy because the very ground is always moving beneath your feet! And one of the two top executives is very very unpleasant always yelling and cursing. This executive has no patience and if you make a mistake, you will not have much dignity afterward. The books have a very liberal slant and if that is your thing you will be comfortable here because that is how many of the people are. (But not on the business side.) There is a lot of turnover in the human resources department and this makes things difficult too in terms of training and people with an institutional memory of the company.

Pros

I became incensed when I came across the reviews on Glassdoor and wanted to contribute my own review. I suppose things have changed here at Benchmark because I have a completely different view of this organization. I work fully remote from home. The culture is collaborative. People are NICE and very professional!! The 401k benefits match at 25% of my contributions (not 3 or 4% like most companies) AND they have a profit sharing bonus. It's a very inclusive and diverse company. Thank you, Benchmark. I'm going to reach out to other employees and see if we can 'up' these numbers with positive reviews!

Cons

I wish I could visit the main headquarters and meet my peers in-person someday.

Pros

May be manageable if you are 100% remote.

Cons

If you have to be in the New Rochelle office, it is truly a strange place with bizarre, abusive management. The negative reviews are accurate. You will hear yelling, shouting, cursing, and insults thrown around casually. It’s usually directed at individuals. This comes from the very top CEO - the bad vibes trickle down through middle management and onto workers. Turnover is extremely high, lots of layoffs and outsourcing. Occasional free lunch doesn’t make up for the horrible culture. Systems are convoluted and there’s no real training process or HR, so a lot of times one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing.
