Pros

Challenging work, nice MACs, nice windows.

Cons

Employers treat employees like bad little children. Female owner likes to berate staff. There is so much work to do because of greed. The owners want to keep their hands on everything and they don't want to miss out on any opportunity, even if a deadline is not realistic at all. They don't care about their employees. They don't show respect. At any minute, you can become a target. They always need someone to blame. Upper management likes to hire their friends. Upper management often mimics the belittling tone of the owners. Publisher changes her mind constantly, meaning that you will have to rewrite and revise without any direction. Constantly. There is always tension and friction. Uncomfortable scenes are always happening.

Pros

I became incensed when I came across the reviews on Glassdoor and wanted to contribute my own review. I suppose things have changed here at Benchmark because I have a completely different view of this organization. I work fully remote from home. The culture is collaborative. People are NICE and very professional!! The 401k benefits match at 25% of my contributions (not 3 or 4% like most companies) AND they have a profit sharing bonus. It's a very inclusive and diverse company. Thank you, Benchmark. I'm going to reach out to other employees and see if we can 'up' these numbers with positive reviews!

Cons

I wish I could visit the main headquarters and meet my peers in-person someday.

Pros

May be manageable if you are 100% remote.

Cons

If you have to be in the New Rochelle office, it is truly a strange place with bizarre, abusive management. The negative reviews are accurate. You will hear yelling, shouting, cursing, and insults thrown around casually. It’s usually directed at individuals. This comes from the very top CEO - the bad vibes trickle down through middle management and onto workers. Turnover is extremely high, lots of layoffs and outsourcing. Occasional free lunch doesn’t make up for the horrible culture. Systems are convoluted and there’s no real training process or HR, so a lot of times one hand doesn’t know what the other is doing.
