Pros
They buy lunch on Wednesdays and they have a nice holiday lunch at a club. Many of the people you work with are very nice and they help you deal with the difficult management, it is like you are all soldiers in a war, which makes for good friendships.
Cons
Top management at Benchmark Education yells at people all day abusively. If you think this is an exaggeration, go to the "interview questions" on this site and see that most of them are about "how do you handle a streessful enviromnet? how do you handle pressure?, and how do you handle yelling?" I guess the company thinks this motivates people but to a large extent it motivates them to leave. Turnover is very high. Especially the people that report to top management. Thee is a lot of favoritism going on and if you are not in one of these categories your career won't go very far. Top management has its hands in every piece of the business too. You won't feel like you can make a decision that you should be able to make. Top manageent might change it at the last minute. Also they grew the business too fast which often made it tough to figure out who was responsible for what.
