Pros

- Caring and supportive co-workers. Everyone is easy to work with. - Get to work with passionate students and musicians. If you love music, this is the place to be. - Amazing life-work balance. They offer a week and a half long break over the holiday season, where things are extremely quiet. The PTO package is the best I've ever had. People are willing to be flexible with your work schedule as needed. - (Applicable before COVID-19) The campus is located in an amazing location and near public transit. However, it can be inconvenient to get to if you don't live near public transit. Extremely expensive parking. - Organization genuinely cares about its employees. - Strong employee retention.

Cons

- Extremely low salary compensation compared to the average market rate. Very few advancement opportunities. - Poor tuition reimbursement program if you want to take classes outside of Berklee. - Health insurance is extremely expensive, especially the PPO plan. More than double what I paid at previous roles. No vision insurance. - Lack of resources compared to other organizations, but this is to be expected at a college.

Pros

-helping students -talking about music

Cons

-forced to train the ai bot that will replace you -despite being the top performer on your team and being reassured repeatedly your job is secure, you will get laid off with no explanation or respect -c suite prefers to keep their 500k+ salaries and 80k+ bonuses even if it means laying off 80+ employees who only make 55k -CEO led first layoffs in berklee's entire history, no transparency with any managers, no discussion or anything -CEO used money "saved" from layoffs to give other employees bonuses and buy unnecessary property
