Pros

Beautiful River North location makes for a pleasant view and a cafeteria in the building is really convenient during the wintertime. If you are actually considering working for this organization, the free gym is a good stress reliever. Besides the awful senior management and their cronies, working with everyone else was great. I was glad I got to make some good friends out of the experience.

Cons

One of the biggest issues is the insanely low pay. Everyone makes under entry level salaries while senior management is living high off the hog. It’s unethical to have such pay gaps. Raises were promised at the end of August and management kept making excuses, yet they’re the ones with six-figure salaries. Their salaries shouldn’t be so high if they “can’t afford” to give raises out to the entire staff. Management lacks respect and trust of employees. Treating them like they’re incompetent idiots and sending out passive aggressive emails sure doesn’t build morale. The micromanaging has to stop because it creates more resentment and shows lack of faith in one’s abilities. Instead of being critical of a person face to face, they do it in an email and CC people on it. The senior management has created a poor work environment, and nothing has been done to make it better. When 3/4 of a department leaves, the most logical thing to do would be to replace the people that left. What does BBB decide to do? Pile it all on the remaining people, leaving the team overworked and underappreciated as a result. Senior management shouldn’t have expected anyone to stay under those conditions. During my year-long tenure, I saw almost 1/3 turnover in our BBB which should be a huge wakeup call. If senior staff doesn’t change their ways, they’ll have no one but themselves to blame for this branch’s downfall.

Pros

- decent coworkers - remote work - benefits are fine if you can afford them

Cons

- severely low pay with the expectation to still go above and beyond - can feel culty with the level of dedication you are expected to show - out of touch upper management. Thinks their 6 figure pay isn't alot. - BS raises (1-3% "if you're lucky") - no room for growth - pushy about sales despite the economy and businesses suffering - clique-y culture from upper management or those who have been with the company 10+ years - communication could improve significantly, especially when increasing workload and acting like we aren't allowed to say no - if you aren't kissing boots, you wont be seen as a team player and made an issue - barely a work life balance despite the position being remote ironically enough
