Pros
I will say that the remote aspect was the only positive. I commend you for getting something right beyond.
Cons
I don't even know where to begin....this "company" is a mess from top to bottom which is expected of a "start up", But this place needs to start back at the drawing board because they're completely missing the mark. Let's first start by saying I initially applied for a sales position and a negotiations position. I was contacted by 2 different recruiters for what I thought was the same position. Turns out it was for 2 seperate positions I applied for, which isn't the issue. The issue was that they had no idea that I applied for both, and even after advising that I would not be moving forward with the sales position, I was still offered both the sales and negotiations position. Talk about the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. I should've ran at that point but nonetheless I took the negotiator position. 1st week we were forced to download their vpn and other programs onto our personal computer because equipment was only sent out after the first week of training for whatever reason. Training was a waste of air and we were told a range of things that ended up not being true. "Talk time" was supposedly the only thing that mattered while being on probation for the first 3 months. Turns out that was a lie, the first month or should I say your 2nd week of employment you hit the phones and you're expected to hit some outrageous metric which is also fine with proper training. if you can't it's a write up and termination all within one month. There's no coaching provided minus your 1 on 1 with the director of the department who to this day no one in that department knows what his job title is but he seems to take more vacations then he does help those who work under him. The 1 on 1 is basically him scratching his head and boasting about what he did when he was a negotiator vs how we should approach any mistakes being brought to our attention. Let's just say beyond should consider finding someone that knows how to manage because it felt like they found him lost outside and offered him a position that he is far from deserving or qualified for. The primary objective of this company is to help the clients but it seems as if everyone internally is out to sabotage the client, because no one is on the same page. My final straw was when I received a "PIP" aka performance improvement plan which is basically a one way ticket out the door when I was top 25% of the department but yet individuals who had been there longer than myself and was bottom 25% received nothing. I kept my convos with other peers as I found this to be odd and discriminatory. Long story short. I have a strong feeling that we won't be seeing too much more of this company in the near future.
