Pros

The office is nice. The whole company has a meeting every friday (except support, see cons) in which they talk about the growth and view of the business. Many great people across the entire company. Fairly competitive pay, but there are several places that can offer that.

Cons

The absolute worst managers in the business. There is one direct supervisor that cares about the enrichment of his employees. If you get stuck with the others, you are simply out of look. Questions about promotions or career pathing? You go to that one manager and him only. The others don't care, are forgetful to a fault, and will never be at bat for you. The managers will regularly cancel support's ability to attend the company wide meetings under the veil of "needing to be available to our clients." If this was the case, the whole company would cancel. Do other people in the company not work with our clients? Absolutely not. So why is support the only one that get's their privileges taken away? I will never know. My own supervisor has expressed multiple times that he is unhappy with his job, that he will probably quit, and suggests I do the same. This is not how you lead a team, and it has created a very tense work environment for me, personally. The workforce scheduler is one of the most unpleasant individuals I have ever met., and had no experience in Workforce Management prior to his promotion. To explain further, his first month of attempts at scheduling resulted in several team members having their lunches either one hour before their shift ends, or one hour after their shift began. He manages by intimidation, and all the middle and upper management play along with this. I received several team wide emails where the VP of Support explains, "I'd sure hate to be on his bad side!" There are several OT opportunities available due to the rapid turnover this team has. The scheduler gives you points based on how often you "volunteer" for OT. Low points means two things: 1) He will force you to work OT if no one volunteers and, 2) The obvious favoritism of one employee over the other. If you can't volunteer for legitimate reasons, they are not taken into account and you are simply a number. My supervisor is absolutely terrified of the scheduler, and does not question HR is completely useless. Several times I have approached them with my concerns about the above, and on two occasions I was advised to resign. I simply do not understand how a company who prides themselves on their amazing "culture" and "mojo" can say something like this. There is absolutely no career patting available that they have not already filled the position for. Two recent positions were filled that were not communicated to the rest of the team, and was a surprise when those members left. If the position is in another department, you have a much more fair chance than you do applying within the tech support team.

Pros

There is a lot of new leadership breathing newness into the company. There is a rebrand on the horizon, different focuses and positioning, complimentary portfolio products, brilliant staff, new company values and more.

Cons

There has been a ton of change and while the new leadership is great, they are still getting their touch on things. This isn't all so much a con in general as it is to absorb, communicate, explain and soak in.

Pros

- BC hires great people - Is finally focusing on the product and its ideal customer rather than trying to be a product that it isn't. - Supportive culture - Good work life balance - Senior and Director leadership is caring and supportive - Really positive outlook for the product

Cons

- Has cut 10% of staff every year for the last 3 years and last year they cut most of their top performers that brought in the most revenue - No 401k match (although they may now) - Lower pay than most tech companies for the same roles - Either BC has the right people in place or they have the right direction to work in with the right leadership but never both - If you are remote, you aren't invited to the office much even for kick offs or planning. So you will feel a bit secluded. - Not much room for career growth as they keep cutting people
