Pros

- Good benefits. Industry average 401k match, decent healthcare coverage, unlimited but closely monitored PTO - Good work / life balance. For the most part you will be able to balance your life with work loads. - Good comp. I'd say it was slightly higher than industry average. I wouldn't go by various compensation tools Billtrust uses. If you are hardworking, skilled, and with plenty of relative experience, you are worth as much much as someone is willing to pay you.

Cons

- Location (by the airport). It's in the only part of town where nobody lives, and you have to deal with I-70. - "Don't rock the boat" complex. You have a good idea? Great, keep it yourself. - No career growth opportunities. If you are looking to grow in Denver location, look elsewhere. - Headquarters vs us mentality all over the place. HQ is restricting and highly regulating what happens in Denver. It's understandable in my opinion given that all decisions are made in HQ, but management should be honest with employees in Denver about the HQ-Denver relations. - Disconnect and lack of trust between executives and management. You will often find yourself wondering if your manager is in tune with executives.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. Our managers are critical to the preservation of our values and success of our business so I am disappointed to learn of your experience. We maintain several communication channels where employees can provide feedback and an open door policy across the organization. We seek feedback and take it seriously. I agree that leadership is very important, if you have more feedback you would like to share please email gdfeedback@billtrust.com or contact me directly. -Steve Pinado, President

Pros

Good payment platform for mid-market companies

Cons

If you’re an experienced sales rep, avoid this company. They’ve gone through multiple structural changes over the last year, and another one appears to be coming soon. The PE firm already cleaned house across leadership and brought in a brand new executive team with little to no experience selling accounting software. The organization feels extremely disorganized. Expect heavy micromanagement through tools like Gong and Force Management training. AEs are treated more like glorified BDRs, while SEs control most of the sales cycle. Even getting deals approved internally is painful, with layers of unnecessary approvals slowing everything down. Hardly anyone on the net new logo team made quota last year, and this year appears to be trending the same way. Territories are divided using poor Salesforce data. Out of roughly 250 assigned accounts, maybe 30 actually fit the ICP. Training is practically nonexistent after they let go of most of the training staff, and marketing is ineffective. The one positive I’ll give Billtrust is that the product itself is solid. However, implementation costs can be absurd, sometimes costing more than the subscription fees themselves.
