Pros

• If you are in dire need of a job, then you should work here. There are plenty of people in the same boat • BILT is one of the larger more flashy start-ups out there right now, so the name recognition is a plus • Fair compensation. They're not paying people the right amount for the number of weekends we have to pull (hint: it's half the time), but they could be far worse

Cons

• Company leaders are selected based on personal wealth and connections with the CEO, Ankur Jain. It is crystal clear that they have only gotten where they are by pure BS. By the way, do a brief internet search of Ankur's father, Naveen Jain, who was famous for misleading investors in his own startup and had to pay over 100 million in violations. • I implore you to watch any video interview of Ankur and marvel at his unique talent of never answering a single question reporters have for him. • At this point, you may have read other reviews complaining about the minuscule size of the office. Those reviews are inaccurate; the office is even smaller than you can possibly imagine. During my interview, management reiterated that the company would acquire more seating arrangements within a few months. It has been a year, and they have failed to alleviate this issue. Ankur demands that every employee need come in to the office everyday, and yet ignores that multiple individuals work from the decrepit, tiny staircase every day because they cannot find seating. • Everyone, including myself, is incredibly young in a negative way. There are senior directors who are barely 27, and it shows. They know nothing. But hey! They throw some pretty rad parties! • If anything sticks with you, know that I came from some of the most toxic Wall Street environments, and BILT takes the cake as even worse in culture than any of those banks.

Fast pace, high energy and lots of room for growth. Nothing is off limits which is great for marketing.

Cons

If you’re not used to start up environments, this may not be for you.

Pros

You can learn a lot, that's it.

Cons

- Where do I even begin. - Terrible leadership, absolutely no one has your back here. - All the company cares about is squeezing out profit, people are nothing more than numbers. - The CEO lacks the basic leadership skills needed to run a company. - Managers dump their stress on employees. - You'd think leadership was making millions from the way it acts, which only highlights how little it actually makes. - There is no empathy or humanity anywhere. - There is no support for exhausted personnel, no work life balance, and no trust. - There is little to no room for promotion or growth, and the salary is so low it feels insulting. - When you complain about being forced to work on your days off, you're treated like you're incompetent and unreliable. - The mistreatment is so relentless, you start questioning your abilities and self worth. - If you care about your career, stay as far away from this place as possible.
