Pros

The perks are unlimited access to the estate grounds; discounts (up to 40%) on the restaurants, retail, and lodging; discounts at other area businesses; complimentary tickets; all-employee parties that allow us access to special "events" like Candlelight Christmas and Chihuly Nights. Biltmore strives to hire quality talent/people who want to help the preservation of the estate - which means most of your coworkers actually want to come to work and enjoy being there.

Cons

The minimum starting wage is $11 an hour - which is higher than the required wage, but difficult to live off of in Asheville. The Estate also never closes and you are required to work most, if not all, holidays depending on your department. Upward movement is difficult to achieve - you must move around to different departments to get better positions and pay.
