Pros
Colleagues are friendly and fun within your departments, offices and desks are spacious. There is good coffee facilities, and the Christmas hamper is good. HR are available and appear sympathetic, despite being ultimately no support.
Cons
Employees are not involved in discussions or decisions about their work and environments, you must keep your head down and not think outside of your box. Your role and often direct manager can be changed at a moments notice, which has obvious consequences on your worklife. Project demands and deadlines seem to be guessed at on a whim. There is initial training provided for your role, but no follow up refreshers, and no opportunities for further learning or personal development. There is evident favouritism throughout all tiers of employment. Pay is low for similar roles elsewhere, and annual adjustments leave you depressed.
