Pros
Since joining Bioventus in 2022, I’ve had the opportunity to see first-hand both the resilience of individuals as well as the organizational aptitude rise. I joined Bioventus for several reasons, first and foremost, the people. Second, I recognized that the organization was in need of strong, experienced leadership and those willing to drive needed change and deliver results. Tasked with managing a hybrid sales team, I have been provided with an amazing opportunity to both SERVE and LEAD in this capacity, but also had the opportunity to leverage skills outside the scope of the written job description. As a people leader within the organization, I often have the opportunity to assess and hire new talent into the organization. A common question asked during candidate interviews is regarding the people and organizational culture. Bioventus offers tremendous resources and Employee Resource Groups (check the website). In the sales organization, what best defines our culture is the never-quit, win-the-day, compete-every-day champion mindset I am charged with creating and fostering within each of the regional teams.
Cons
While the organization has faced some post-acquisition integration and supply-chain challenges, there remain defined pathways for growth and success. No company is without its own unique challenges, albeit those very challenges are opportunities for individuals and teams to step up and be an active part of the solution versus remaining on standby and pointing out the nuances.
