Blackbaud is a great company with a wonderful mission. You get to go to work each day knowing that what you do is making a small impact in the social good community. The clients and prospects you get to work with are the best! Blackbaud also has a great culture that promotes a top-notch work life balance. The leadership on the SE team is incredible, and you get to work alongside of some of the most kind and helpful people. You are given autonomy in your role, career development is encouraged, and the company values its employees.
Cons
Blackbaud has had a tough 2020, so there is a lot of uncertainty with the company right now. Towards the beginning of the pandemic, ELT provided a lot of communication and encouragement, but after mid-year layoffs occurred that transparency from the top down has tapered off. This has caused some uneasiness across the company. It can also feel like product development on core solutions is moving in the wrong direction or focusing on the wrong things.
