Pros
The best part about working for Blackbaud was the potential for networking with incredible clients. I knew quite a few consultants who ended up getting offered full time positions at their dream jobs. This was by far the best reason to work here.
Cons
Nothing innovative has happened at Blackbaud in close to 20 years. The company's business model is: "If it's broken, find a company that does it right, buy them and then call it our own." This type of mentality has led to numerous layoffs and outsourcing over the years. THIS IS NOT OK. I knew people who worked at Blackbaud for 10-15 years who were thrown to the curb because of product overlap or because it was $5 per hour cheaper to outsource to a foreign firm. Buyer beware! Blackbaud will nickle and dime customers and employees into the grave. If I could do it all over again, I would not have wasted my time here.
