Pros

very good work-life balance many good developers to learn from strong market position for most of the products creating good job stability for many solid HR department who are approachable and work hard to enhance employee morale

Cons

dangerous and confusing technology direction over the last year or so productivity suffering from lots of meetings fear of speaking up about these problems - agree with a post about a destructive pair of people (including an executive) as part of the R&D individual contributor group it used to be much higher profile in the company, now feels pretty low-profile

Thanks so much for the comments. We agree we have a great position in our markets doing exciting things for the future of philanthropy! We are also very excited about our innovative technology direction. We are moving to agile methodology and rolling out new architectures to promote scalability, collaboration, usability, open platforms and mobility. Good things to come as we drive into a bright future.

Pros

Decent pay, remote work flexibility, you get to work with some very talented folks.

Cons

Used to be proud to work for Blackbaud but that has all but disappeared in last 2 years. Poor and ineffective leadership, false transparency, frequent layoffs, bonuses based off of stock which has been tanking. It's a sinking ship. Avoid at all costs.
