Pros

Co-workers & the customer's passion Lots of things are broken, great if you are a fixer If you have a good idea, you can run with it

Cons

Low pay Utilization-based bonuses are negatively impacted by operational impediments Really old technology Staying at Blackbaud leaves your skill set in the past Customers are trapped w/Blackbaud, so they start off angry on projects Customers are paying a lot for really outdated solutions, so they start off angry on projects The Convio merger caused a huge mess, with lots of great people leaving or giving up. No competition has made the company stagnant & only the people w/stock benefit, employees & customers & Org supporters are losing out. It's shameful

Honestly, at the time there weren’t many cons.

Pros

Decent pay, remote work flexibility, you get to work with some very talented folks.

Cons

Used to be proud to work for Blackbaud but that has all but disappeared in last 2 years. Poor and ineffective leadership, false transparency, frequent layoffs, bonuses based off of stock which has been tanking. It's a sinking ship. Avoid at all costs.
