Pros
When I was first hired years ago this was the best company I had ever worked for. Something changed during the pandemic and Blanton Turner has not recovered. Company culture, new-hire training, industry education, and employee morale have taken a huge hit.
Cons
Blanton Turner has great values on paper. Unfortunately, many of the clients they choose to work with do not share their values and there doesn't seem to be much of an attempt to prove to them why they hired BT to manage their building in the first place. They bend to toxic management principles (e.g. rental increases) even when the housing market tells a different story. Nepotism is very apparent and basically flaunted in our faces. The company only focuses on things such as DEI and very rarely shares important industry-related updates that on-site staff is required to know. All of our jobs became harder during/after the pandemic and compensation has stayed the same. Senior management is so out of touch with what happens on a day-to-day basis at the site level they have unrealistic expectations they expect a staff of 1-3 people to successfully accomplish. You are also required to be on an after-hours call tree for emergencies (they consider lockouts to be emergencies) and insult you with a pitful stipend that would only be worth it for a teenager living at mommy and daddy's house with no life. I have lived at many apartments in my adult life and never have I been offered such a "service."
