Pros
Compensation? The business model is relatively sane for a startup. They're hiring like crazy in Seattle.
Cons
Management is untrustworthy. Multiple rounds of layoffs in late 2019 and early 2020. The latest round of layoffs was blamed on the pandemic. It was an excuse to get rid of certain people mostly from the NY office. Managers were privately hinting at the exit of certain people as a reason that the company would improve going forward. Announcing the layoffs on the same day as a large round of VC funding didn't help either. Existing employees were asking for a 409A valuation for months to ascertain the value of their stock options. When it came through, the valuation was much lower than people expected. The delay and obfuscation could be seen as a deliberate tactic to keep people while the bad news was delayed. As a company that does e-Commerce and delivery for drugs, the pandemic should be good for sales. If they haven't significantly grown revenue by the end of 2020 then it could get really ugly. There are other reasons that I cannot get into specifically without revealing my identity. I fully expect Blink Health to prosecute NDAs or other legal remedies against former employees without hesitation.
