This company was awesome. Now it’s just another one. We were a tech driven company where everyone knew their places and their accountability making this a great company to take risks and grow together with no agendas behind. The mood was very good with everyone helping each other for a greater good. That was before the founder left the company. Nowadays politics run wild and you see a lot of back stabbing happening. The Leadership Team have their own agenda where “being a good puppy” is appreciated. Many people are not going against decisions that don’t look ok just for the sake of looking good. The management does not live up to many standards described in the Blip Values. Curiously, this specific item has been used in the past to fire people with “You do not show the correct Blip Values” being used. Promotions: The best way to know who will be promoted is to focus your attention with whom the Leadership Team is having lunch. This has proven to be 99% accurate since the founder left the company. Some people have been promoted, not once, not twice, but three times in less than 2 years (that’s the first time it has ever happened)! The cool thing about this? No one understands why this has happened since they didn’t do anything out of the ordinary. What does they all have in common? They all lunch with the correct people. New joiners: We had a strict policy when contracting new joiners. Now you see people coming in with poor experience and being thrown into the wolves including managers with clear knowledge gaps about tech, agile, scrum, etc. In summary: You don’t need to be a manager or be in the Leadership Team to notice what was described above. Everyone talks about it and everyone sees it because it’s so damn visible.
