Pros

An organization that cares about their employees. PTO, insurance, Paid volunteer days, internal turnover/promotion routes. Great at increasing employee motivation and engagement through social opportunities, lunches, cookouts, etc.

Cons

Pay is not very competitive and the leaders aren't really willing to negotiate prior to hire or during employment. Bonuses are offered quarterly but in negotiations the leaders include these in the "salary" rather than them being bonuses. Starting schedule is not convenient unless you are a 20 year old without a family. 11a-8pm with additional on-call requirements.

Block Imaging Response

Thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback. We're glad to hear that you’re finding fulfillment in being part of our team and the work you do. In response to the concerns you shared: Compensation - As we grow, we're committed to continuing to remain competitive in an everchanging market. One of the challenges we were facing during COVID was trying to show an “apples to apples” comparison when candidates were receiving offers from other companies. Throughout a season, we sought to show a more comprehensive look to help with that comparison and perhaps we went a little too far. We’ve since made some changes to both ensure we’re providing a clear picture of what can be expected in this area. Like most companies, Block Imaging has a compensation spectrum that is relative to the market and attempts to associate with personal and overall company performance. Schedule – At every stage of the hiring process, it’s our desire to be transparent about what can be expected from a schedule perspective. Our support of healthcare providers around the world demands that we ship product until 8:00 pm and we recognize that this schedule isn’t preferred or convenient for every individuals situation. Last and perhaps most importantly – My hope and expectation is that our leaders would both be accessible and transparent with regard to the concerns that our team members carry. While compensation can certainly be a sensitive topic, it’s most certainly an open one. If your manager didn’t receive and address your questions/concerns clearly and thoughtfully, I’d encourage you to reach out again. If there isn’t traction, I can’t encourage you enough to open the dialogue with their manager, our HR leader or reach out to Jason Crawford or myself to speak directly. We certainly don’t get every conversation right the first time but it is an important one and I’d invite you to further engage until you have appropriate clarity. Thanks again for taking the time to share. We're grateful for your investment and look forward to continuing to improve in a whole host of ways in the coming season. Respectfully, Josh Block

Pros

A lot of good manager, If the listen to the upper managers they have, I see them going a long way.

Cons

Some managers not so much;/ Upper management is not Biomed and it is backed by $$$$$, so it could be a crap company to work for....Time will tell.
