Pros

Job can be fun and provide a sense of community service.

Cons

Getting assaulted by homeless people and developing a heightened state of awareness (PTSD) by being forced to make daily contact with homeless people who aren’t even breaking the law. As a manager for BBB, you’re often at the mercy of your customer’s word against yours, without any support from Block By Block to back you up. The company swept multiple disability cases under the rug by firing personnel while also refusing to acknowledge manager feedback for improvement of program and customer relations that caused said issues in the first place. Additionally, even if you meet company standards, you can still be fired without cause for going above and beyond customer expectations, even when your customer’s conduct is extremely unprofessional. Good riddance to this employer. You can be the best manager in the world but they’ll fire you the moment you do one seemingly insignificant thing wrong. Long story short, my customer refused to communicate on multiple occasions then blamed me for it and had me fired so that I could be the scapegoat for their poor executive decision making.
