Pros

-Good if you're a college student. Pay is decent, manager is flexible with school schedule -winters are easy, just drive the tuck when it's extremely cold -get to see a lot of the events that happen downtown first hand

Cons

-You interact with a lot of mentally ill people or people under the influence, especially during the summer. I'd have negative interactions with people downtown and the manager would play it off like it wasn't a big deal-- toxic positivity -there will be a lot of trauma dumping -you get yelled at when you take breaks from walking. I formed an exercise addiction and didn't notice until I stopped working-- I had major withdrawals. Too much exercise can also cause damage to your body

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for all your hard work. Our Ambassadors work hard and deal with a lot of "heavy" issues such as mental illness and homelessness. It is stressful and sad at times. We offer free Employee Assistance Plan for all employees of Block by Block. I wish that you had contacted them for some of the cons you mentioned and we apologize if you weren't aware of this benefit. We have the EAP info posted on the website as well as in the handbook and I truly wish that you had seen it. I get great reviews of this benefit.
