Pros
Relatively chill work life balance
Cons
- 20 sth years old start up that is still not profitable and is trying to become one by deceit and poorly handling employees - Low diversity. Old employees who have been there since the start of the company are untouchable and they will be always having the power even if they would be unprofessional (mostly from the same motherland and connected together culturally). Old employees almost do nothing and their only skill is knowing the Fuel System products and architecture - No structure for reviewing managers and higher managers - Their sole product has a lot of issues and the company is not confident enough to fix those as it will hinder them from selling and getting profitable - CEO and most of VPs almost respect-less towards employees - They only publish news when it is positive. They never share several rounds of lay offs that they had. - Five days in person with no sick day and less than 10 days PTO (they force the 3-4 days PTO on you during Christmas) - No possibility of remote work - A lot of discrimination and favoritism (very obviously implemented) - No new feasible products in years - No connection (all major managers and employees have been in the company for years and are untouchable and cannot even help you with connections unless you aim to stay at the company forever) - No place to grow cause the initial core old employees will always stay in the company till retirement. New employees only in the best scenario become low level technical managers exceptionally … Company grew fast but started laying off. The hierarchy does not grow that much.
