Pros
Lots of exiting things to do and interesting projects to work on. News, data, analytics, messaging, risk, trading systems, electronic trading, etc. The list goes on and on.
Cons
Management can be arrogant. This would not be a problem if they had the expertise to back it up, but often they do not. There is a lot of resistance to taking the steps necessary to fix big problems. They prefer hacks and work arounds.
