Pros

free snacks in the pantry, unlimited sick days, lots of opportunities to do volunteer/charity work

Cons

no defined career path or structure for progressions, nepotistic and extremely hierarchical management structure, repetitive and mindless work. Global Data employs data inputters yet calls them analysts, learning is very limited after initial training, the review process is based on manager "impressions" and deliberately vague, lots of under-motivated unintelligent people doing drudge work makes for a depression environment

Pros

Stable company with excellent compensation and benefits. Great place to build a strong foundation in data center operations and enterprise infrastructure. Exposure to a wide range of technologies, vendors, and production environments. Collaborative culture with supportive coworkers and a healthy work-life balance. Good environment for learning the fundamentals of hardware deployment, troubleshooting, networking, and large-scale infrastructure.

Cons

Career growth can be slow due to a very flat organizational structure and low turnover in senior positions. Limited opportunities to develop new technical skills or take ownership of major infrastructure projects. Training and professional development opportunities can be inconsistent and may depend on management support rather than individual initiative. Engineers looking for greater technical ownership, innovation, or faster career progression may eventually outgrow the role.
