Pros

Great opportunity for internal growth, great job security, and awesome benefits from Day 1. Easy to get into the door with minimal prior experience and make your way up. Lots of trainings/up-skilling opportunities. Great pantry/snacks.

Cons

Pretty strict 4 days in office policy (unless in engineering) and intro positions tend to be mirco-managed. "Big Brother" behind the scenes type of monitoring. The "lifers" have drank the cool-aid while good workers get punished with more work and yearly raises are quite consistent across the team, regardless of performance. High school esc drama is also too common across teams. "Bloomberg culture" is constantly pushed, scaring employees that grass isn't greener on the other side as an excuse to under pay employees.

Pros

Stable company with excellent compensation and benefits. Great place to build a strong foundation in data center operations and enterprise infrastructure. Exposure to a wide range of technologies, vendors, and production environments. Collaborative culture with supportive coworkers and a healthy work-life balance. Good environment for learning the fundamentals of hardware deployment, troubleshooting, networking, and large-scale infrastructure.

Cons

Career growth can be slow due to a very flat organizational structure and low turnover in senior positions. Limited opportunities to develop new technical skills or take ownership of major infrastructure projects. Training and professional development opportunities can be inconsistent and may depend on management support rather than individual initiative. Engineers looking for greater technical ownership, innovation, or faster career progression may eventually outgrow the role.
