Pros

This role offered so much support and guidance from individuals who had been not only in the industry, but at the company for years, if not decades. There was a cohort that you were with that was relatively the same age as you, so you could rely on each other for many things, including confusion on the tools used at the company. Lunch was free lol.

Cons

Not enough movements was available to people in this position, and it almost felt like red tape or people were stopped from moving too early. Princeton office if you’re not from New Jersey can be isolating. The work is literally data entry disguised as something actually interesting and skill building, And so you have to claw out what you want from the role, which could be a negative or positive.

Pros

Stable company with excellent compensation and benefits. Great place to build a strong foundation in data center operations and enterprise infrastructure. Exposure to a wide range of technologies, vendors, and production environments. Collaborative culture with supportive coworkers and a healthy work-life balance. Good environment for learning the fundamentals of hardware deployment, troubleshooting, networking, and large-scale infrastructure.

Cons

Career growth can be slow due to a very flat organizational structure and low turnover in senior positions. Limited opportunities to develop new technical skills or take ownership of major infrastructure projects. Training and professional development opportunities can be inconsistent and may depend on management support rather than individual initiative. Engineers looking for greater technical ownership, innovation, or faster career progression may eventually outgrow the role.
