Pros

This company is a good stepping stone for early career professionals with good salary and benefits. The work can be interesting and stimulating, especially when dealing with the news and the Terminal. The people are great and there are a lot of bright individuals. There are nice opportunities for travel and conferences at times. The work-life balance is decent. Snacks are alright. There are some opportunities for development.

Cons

The culture is passive aggressive, toxic, controlling, and even two-faced at times, starting with upper management and flowing downwards. It is cutthroat, and very political with a poor review system. Employees who are not corporate drones with low authenticity and self expression can find themselves overlooked. Monitoring, scrutiny, and gossip can make employees feel uncomfortable. Truth tellers can find themselves punished as upper management dig their heels in when things aren't working and can put employees in positions where they are setup to fail. Manager's favorites (typically those who brown nose the most and are more corporate) are likely to given more visibility and better opportunities over those who may be more experienced or have better suited skillsets. Outside of that, there is low viability for upward mobility, raises, or even switching teams based on merit. Some management may even try to thwart hardworking employees’ efforts to climb the ladder. The C-suite preaches DEI and integrity, which are mostly political. There is rampant internal inefficiency. Visibility and conforming to corporate culture are more valued than talent, practicality, and effective workflows. Some policies are unreasonably inflexible and passed down from NY. The C-suite has an “old school” mentality that forces employees to come into the office and may at times refuse to make accommodations for emergency situations. Most of the lower management are inexperienced, do not care about their employees as people, and miss opportunities to properly develop them. Some aspects may not bode well for those who are neurodivergent or have disabilities. The lower employees on some teams can have a somewhat fratty undercurrent. Avoid sales like the plague.

Pros

The snacks and few people

Cons

I think the company is incredibly interesting. If you are in the right department it’s great. I had a horrible boss, She should have never been in the position. Petty, dumb, and incredibly insecure. I was part of the re-organization and I think a lot of the people who didn’t work got kicked out. So not bad. There’s a lot of dumb toxic people there. In the competition scheme they are at the bottom of the rung. Company isn’t great
