Pros

Blue Signal is the only recruiting agency for which I have ever worked, so naturally, I'm biased. I have to say that if you're looking for a place that gives you the flexibility to manage your own schedule, work fully remote, earn well over six figures routinely and help people in the process, then Blue Signal is the place for you. Having basically no professional recruiting experience prior to Blue Signal, I can say that the training and support they have provided has been top notch. With the help of caring account managers and realistic KPI's, I was able to quickly learn the ropes and have seen early success. As a fully remote company, Blue Signal's non-recruiting departments (People and Culture, Marketing, etc.) have created actual culture, which is quite remarkable. I genuinely enjoy "going" to work (virtual meetings), though I have the unique advantage of being able to work from the Blue Signal office (Phoenix, Arizona). I think most within Blue Signal would agree that we have a tight knit group that is sad when people leave and excited for people to join! Everyone is genuinely happy when others in our firm succeed, which (I hear) isn't exactly par for the course in other recruiting agencies. Our founder/ CEO is a world class recruiter and holds himself and everyone else to a high standard of ethics, honesty and integrity. It is a team-focused recruiting firm that has an ethos of collaboration, helpfulness and care for one another. I have never been made to feel bad for needing to take time to drive my kids to school, attend a doctors appointment or anything like that. It has been a great experience working for Blue Signal thus far. I would encourage anyone looking at getting into recruiting to start with Blue Signal.

Cons

Recruiting is a difficult industry anywhere you work. You have to manage your own time, be willing to fail and receive feedback, receive and deliver less-than-ideal news often and much more. This reality does not in any way reflect negatively on Blue Signal, but those looking to get into recruiting should understand the nature of the business, it's challenging! Another potential con for recruiting as a whole is that there really isn't "growth" in the sense that, at the end of the day, you will always be recruiting candidates or managing accounts. Sure, there is team leadership and other titles/ responsibilities that one could take on, but one can never really graduate from the basic to do's of recruiting. Again, this isn't so much a reflection on Blue Signal as a company, but rather, on the recruiting industry itself.

Thank you so much for your thorough and honest review! We are so pleased that you have experienced early success and that you have a work/life balance that meets the needs of your family. It is important to us that our team members can have autonomy while doing excellent work. Thank you for recognizing and adding to our culture; as you mentioned it is difficult (but imperative) to maintain in a primarily remote workforce. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with you!
