Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are happy to hear that others agree there is a lot of money to be made here in sales – very true! While the sales department is responsible for bringing in net new business, they also benefit from a solid base of current customers and customer upgrades. Because we have such strong service due to our “Commitment to Excellence – EVERY DAY”, many times customers are upgraded automatically.
Moreover, our company’s pay out on current customers is exactly the same as net new – while other companies pay much lower for a current account upgrade!
Additionally, as pointed out, we do receive occasional leads – due to our company’s great reputation in the industry. When this occurs, the lead goes to the person who is assigned that particular territory or named account. However, if the territory is not assigned, the manager can either sell it on their own or give it to someone who has been working hard – at their discretion. We are sorry you feel overlooked, and are hopeful you keep working hard so that the next time a lead comes in, you are the recipient based upon your work effort!
Outside sales is not a job for all, and by no means is it easy. However, the main focus of an outside sales person needs to be opening doors to net new accounts versus tracking lead distribution in the office.
