Pros

Lots of cool and fun brands to work with/learn about

Cons

The estheticians make $10 an hour and there is no opportunity for a raise. The company dedicates little to no marketing at all for the “spa services” so people rarely know they offer esthetic services. There is opportunity to make commission, but the expectation is unrealistic since you rarely see steady clientele because the company puts 99% of their focus on the retail being sold. Estheticians here don’t make commission on any products sold (services yes but I should’ve just been a retail associate because I hardly performed services) the prices for the services are absurd for the small work room, lack of modalities used as they wouldn’t allow us to do much, and the back bar products were not good or seemed cheap.

Pros

Business hours and get to meet some great clients

Cons

Lack of recognition for hard workers. No pay increase. Some employees are getting paid 30+ an hour at most stores and complain about a couple of cents from pay increase where people like myself is getting paid $10 less with no pay increase. Full time employees will do the most work more than anyone else, including management. Management also receives the most recognition over the employees that do the most work. This company has been bought out by Macy’s so I don’t think they care to hear what employees have to say.
