Pros

You can pay for your lunch with a paycheck deduction if you don't have cash on you .

Cons

The short break times. The rude nurses. The patient to tech ratio (I was on a unit where there was 36 patients and just me, and you're still required to do everything). The boss was rude and didn't know how to speak to people. Kept declining my chance to move upwards or make a lateral move. Hated it.

Great team environment with supportive coworkers and providers. Leadership encourages teamwork, and the company offers good benefits and stability. Working directly with patients can be very rewarding, and the organization focuses strongly on patient-centered care through Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Cons

Workload can be very demanding at times, especially with staffing shortages and high patient volume. Communication between departments can occasionally be inconsistent, and opportunities for growth or advancement can be difficult to obtain. Balancing front desk responsibilities with patient needs can also become stressful during busy clinic hours at Bon Secours Mercy Health.
