Cons
Bottom line is the driving factor for decisions. After merger with Mercy Health numerous offices and service lines were closed. Multiple physicians and providers were terminated. The hospital was closed shortly thereafter with little notice. The feedback and positive culture of BonSecours was essentially eliminated after the merger. High “throughput” with minimal support staff. The goal of being 70th percentile or higher in production was set by the employer. Those not meeting this feared being terminated. The health insurance was changed and provided significantly less options and coverage. The bonus structure was also changed resulting in dramatic reductions.
