Pros

New Amsterdam and Manchester offices are awesome. The Amsterdam office especially has amazing views and great food (three restaurants with different menus!). Lots of seating options to suit your tastes, from open plan to quiet cubicles and even private offices, all bookable via our hot-desking system. Good pay for The Netherlands (doesn't compare to Silicon Valley but is VERY good for the country). Hybrid work environment. You can basically choose to work from home or the office (or mix it up). Managers can only require office attendance for a very small number of days per year. If you work from home the company will provide a desk, chair and external monitor and other peripherals. Lots of other perks (bike scheme, insurance support, annual shares, bonus) Work life balance is second to none. There is no expectation to work long hours or weekends. Your boss will not contact you outside of office hours unless it's for a real emergency. Craft reporting. If you are a designer you will report to a designer who was at LEAST senior level before becoming a manager. Same for writers and researchers. Diversity. Booking really embraces diversity, we have a large number of ERG's from various communities and the company takes them seriously, funds their activities and supports their initiatives.

Cons

We're big and slow... don't come here expecting to change the world overnight. Career development is challenging. On the one hand we have lots of internal trainings, access to lots of resources, mentor programmes, budget for conferences etc but on the other hand, our promotions process is clunky and very dependent on you driving your own destiny. The requirement to "prove you can do the job BEFORE you get the promotion" can make it difficult to move up unless you have a lot of energy and initiative. This isn't the kind of company that will "push you up the ladder". You have to find your own way and make your own opportunities. Some roles are also dependant on business need so your career growth can be slowed by the business.

Pros

People are great, I have created amazing connections and friendships along the way. Fun work environment we work hard but are able to play harder. Global reach, often connecting with people around the world.

Cons

Not much mobility and constant change. Hard to be stable in that kind of environment. Many times the plan is not fully complete before expecting execution and very siloed creating duplication of effort and work.
