Pros
Friendly work environment, flexible hours, very rarely have to work over 40 hours a week, competitive pay, competitive PTO
Cons
Booz Allen will hire individuals without a position in mind and force them immediately on to the bench. This means that after hiring, they have to conduct more interviews and networking for an “internal job search”, which I feel is disrespectful and not professional. It also means that the interviewers and hiring staff will not know what you will be doing which may result in being mislead about the true nature of your position. However the bench is very nice for existing employees who have a contract ended, allowing them to find a new one without being laid off.
Health care could be more competitive. Very high deductible for what you pay.
Finally, the company is attempting to transition to a technology company, which doesn’t seem to be going well.
