Pros
The scope of your role at BorgWarner is very large, and the expectations are high. The more you succeed with your role the more you are given the opportunity to do, own and be involved with. Learning on the job and 'just giving it a go' is a must at this company, which some would see as not so good, but for those looking for a chance to rapidly develop its great. The company is also really supportive of formal training support and have sponsored me to do several qualifications including my MSc.
Cons
The amount of work there is to do compared to how many people are employed to do it is unbalanced. Most of my colleagues over the past 5 years have felt somewhat overworked. Great when your young and want to develop quick, but it gets very tiring and you can feel like you don't have enough support. They try to pay you as little as possible, and its a constant battle to get your salary and grade to where it should be. Especially with internal promotions.
