Pros
Top tier consulting = face-off with senior most clients on their most pressing agenda. The "up or out" model isn't a weed-out mechanism, but mutual incentive for both BCG and its consultants to maximize development opportunities. It's a partnership - they want people to stay and grow and become successful here, where as at larger/public companies you may feel like a small cog in a big machinery.
Cons
Not as diverse as the company aspires to be. 80% of the people feel like they're cut from the same cloth - very similar socioeconomic background, academics, behaviors. BCG experience exposes you to tons of new learning and opportunity, but growth path within the company is relatively narrowly defined.
