Pros

- HR hires quality people - Good culture - Unlimited PTO - ESPP

Cons

No product vision, strategy, and failure to execute. Depending the day of the day of the week and the leader you're speaking to Box is a "different kind" of company, all of which ignore the core purchase reasons of the existing and future customer base. Leadership expects company to turn on a dime based on the day's whim. - Product decline and instability: Newest features are weak, buggy, and never fixed. Critical customer requests to support highest value use cases are ignored - Operational dumpster fire. No role clarity, processes nor ownership. Things that should take minutes or hours take days and weeks if they get done at all. No one has any idea what anyone else is doing - Internal meeting, change, and resource organization fatigue - Micromanagement, and managers expect ICs to hold other teams "accountable" instead of managers aligning with each other - Lack of technical guidance and services for customers - Mediocre pay with little growth opportunity - No 401k match - RSUs don't gain value

Pros

Competitive compensation and decent earning potential depending on segment. Opportunity to manage complex deal cycles. Broad product suite allows for cross-sell and solution-based selling. Active founder-led company

Cons

Poor management quality and leadership decisions can impact morale. Culture can feel less dull and lack energy especially compared to faster-growing tech companies. Selling the product can feel little exciting. Internal processes and decision-making can feel bureaucratic.
