Pros
Interesting merchandise. Passionate customers. Fairly easy everyday tasks.
Cons
Management is too forceful about making workers push sale numbers. If your average sale at checkout is too low you'll get in trouble, so you have to get customers to buy things they obviously don't want. It makes you feel like you're cheating the customer and driving them away. Each employee's sale numbers are posted for all other workers to see and every worker must sign the paper to acknowledge the competitive system BoxLunch pushes. Even if you meet goal, if you're bottom on the list you'll get a lecture. I personally thought it was a very negative environment. Workers quickly became hostile of each other because sales were so competitive. Also, if the store undersold that week your shift might be cancelled an hour before. Or they might call you out of nowhere and expect you to come in short notice.
