Pros
Flexible* Hours, Great discounts that you share with HT/Torrid. When they donate to Feeding America, they each "meal" they donate is $0.10. While not great, it's better than most companies corporations out there. Feeds people in need, company gets a tax break. Win-win. *Flexible to an extent. The computer schedules you, management is not really allowed to make changes too much to the scheduling system.
Cons
Poor and Untrained upper management, consistency, pay, store support. Condoned theft/unethical actions from some staff but not others. Management rejected all requests for assistance or for write ups for staff, but blamed us for having poor-behaving store associates. Pressured to worked off the clock and had to work two steps beyond my position and pay because they could not retain store and assistant f/t and p/t managers (went through at least four in 6 months). When I asked for one step promotion for myself and another staff member in the step below myself (as we were running the store and keeping it afloat with no training), we were told we weren't qualified, and they didn't think we were worth training. Culture was falsely diverse and accepting, as they clearly favored some staff over others. Lack of support. Traveling and off site management were toxic.
