They aren’t penalized but provider is. Inappropriate patients that should be discharged are shuffled from provider to provider when they don’t get the drugs they want. Patient satisfaction is priority over what is clinically appropriate for patient Providers are expected to do most of their own clerical work - patient reminders, updating addresses, firing patients (despite job aid stating it’s supervisor job to notify patients they’re fired) Multiple programs required for patient tracking and charting.
