Pros
- Mid-size firm with 200+ professionals that you can lean on from a diverse skillset - Most directors/leaders that truly care about your growth and who are effective in their role - Projects can be sourced from FinOps, which usually means that they are of higher quality than projects coming from NetSuite direct - Recently organized their structure around competencies, making it easier to find help around key process areas/industries - Ability for employees to be independent in their role - Implementations are very exciting and unique - Great career opportunities and career pathway. You get bonuses every quarter and usually a promotion per year
Cons
- Can feel like a "sink or swim" environment. - Benefits are not as strong as other firms. Most benefits won't execute until after the first month. 401k matching is very generous, but doesn't take effect until the first year of being hired - There's recently been a lot of restructuring and layoffs - Deliverables and processes don't seem to be in a mature phase yet. Standardization of deliverables are still being worked on internally. However, almost every other mid-size company struggles with this - Utilization is around 85% (but this entirely depends on your role). However, this doesn't factor in vacation and paid holidays (which also don't rollover into the next year) - meaning you'll really have to bill out ~90% to make up for PTO. This makes it difficult to spend time developing your own skillsets and mentoring others. It also makes it stressful when you're on the bench or between projects - They are a subsidiary of the Addison Group, which means that they may not have complete autonomy of key decisions - Sometimes it feels like projects are accepted without thoroughly evaluating if they're a good fit. It might be because work is slowing down. This can lead to incorrect expectations being set (timeline/budget), and mismatch of resources being aligned. Good consultants will ramp up on skill gaps before a project so that they can be prepared - but I feel like lately projects are having larger gaps and/or have extremely unique requests that cannot translate to other projects very well.
