Pros

The kids and families you meet are wonderful. If you have a good helper in your room it makes a world of difference.

Cons

If you do the CDA program do not expect a proper raise. Minimum wage Recently went up by .50 cents and mostly across the board that's what they gave to all the others employee's that were making more than Minimum wage. Saying this is a good raise and gaslighted the team. With Completing the cda program it was a .13 cent raise. I also had to pay for my own cpr and first aid. I also paid out of pocket for the CDA program. If you ask for time off months in advance it most likely won't be approved because of how short staff centers are. A lot of centers are Revolving doors. Once a month they do an open house on a sat. And management will ask you the Wednesday before and shame you if you don't help. Communication is pretty low on the scale with Management. The only time you hear any feedback is when you do something wrong or if it's anything negative. The pay isn't great. They have floating staff like directors and Assistant directors but they show up and sit in the office and chat. They never actually show up to help with staffing. You have Directors pull out lead teachers to help with office or paper work stuff, with no added pay or benifits. You have lead teachers making the work Schedule for the center, which is super stressful.
