Pros

Get to work with clients who are in true need of Medicaid services. Met willing and compassionate care givers who treated individuals like family. Did a wealth of roles with in the branch so I came away with wealth of knowledge and skills.

Cons

Where to begin? General manager having an inappropriate relationship with a division manager. Gaslighting. General manager did not care about anything and would overrule any decision made by admin staff to detriment of field staff and clients. General Manager would come in, shut office door and read newspaper all day. At the end of my tenure, branch was investigated for fraudulent use of services and was nearly shut down. Reputation was in tatters throughout the community. "Marketing initiatives" consisted of one admin staff member leaving flyers at local McDonald's and General Manager and division manager using field time for trysts. Also admin staff was overworked to death with terrible benefits and extremely low pay. They made all field staff per-diem or part-time with FLSA so they could offer shady, high deductable, and barely any coverage plans that field staff could not afford. They made minimum wage and we in the office were helpless to allieviate it.

Pros

Your undervalued and underpaid coworkers

Cons

The manipulation Pharmerica uses to ensure the compensation is not accurate! The market moved and the company didn’t, the benchmark is outdated but told verbatim "we are NOT a priority" The company prioritized cost control over market competitiveness
