Pros

Working with the clients can be very rewarding. It's incredibly easy to get attached.

Cons

The company makes its money on the backs of the home supervisors. Home Supervisors work as salary employees trying to cover shifts for a number of homes without an adequate number of staff. Although it is said that you can't work 24 hours a day, there is no other way around it sometimes. Home supervisors wear out and turn over faster than direct care staff. There is never a moment of silence, your pager (yes pager) goes off all hours of the day and night and every holiday. ResCare doesn't even pay for toward your cell phone bill when they are the reason you have one and must have unlimited minutes to keep up with the constant call offs and emergencies.

Pros

Your undervalued and underpaid coworkers

Cons

The manipulation Pharmerica uses to ensure the compensation is not accurate! The market moved and the company didn’t, the benchmark is outdated but told verbatim "we are NOT a priority" The company prioritized cost control over market competitiveness
